Iroko is a dense African hardwood with natural oils that make it more resistant to water than most timbers, which is why it is a favourite around sinks. It starts a light golden colour and darkens to a rich bronze once oiled and as it ages. Please note photos show oiled iroko; unoiled boards arrive noticeably lighter.

Before you fit
- Let the worktop acclimatise flat in the kitchen for at least 48 hours, still in its wrapping, before cutting.
- Oil all faces, ends and cut-outs (including the underside) before fitting, unless you choose pre-oiled. We sell Osmo TopOil and wood worktop care products.
- Leave a small expansion gap at walls and use slotted fixing brackets so the timber can move with the seasons.
- Do not fit directly above a dishwasher without a moisture barrier, and wipe up standing water around sinks.
Delivery
Worktops and upstands are delivered by a two-person team to the ground floor nearest entrance, usually within 2–5 working days. Delivery is £29.50 (including VAT) per order, however many worktops you order. Please check the boards on delivery and tell us about any damage within 48 hours.
