About Carrara Marble solid surface

Carrara Marble is a white base with Carrara-style grey veining. Solid surface is made from acrylic and natural minerals, and the colour runs all the way through, so there is no printed layer to wear off.

Joints are bonded so they are virtually invisible, and you can have an integrated sink, upstands and curved shapes for a seamless, one-piece look.

Styling ideas

Light, calm colours like this suit almost any kitchen. Pair it with navy, sage or charcoal doors for contrast, or white and pale wood for a bright, minimal look. Brushed brass, chrome or matt black taps and handles all work well.

• 2m x 920 x 19mm
• 3m x 650 x 19mm

920mm deep is for islands and breakfast bars; 650mm deep suits a standard run of 600mm base units with a small overhang. At 19mm thick the boards are usually fitted on a support board, and the front edge can be built up to look thicker.

Questions about Carrara Marble

Is it the same as Corian? It is the same type of material: an acrylic solid surface, like Corian®, Minerva and Apollo. It looks and behaves in a similar way.

Can scratches be repaired? Yes. Because the colour goes all the way through, light scratches can be buffed out with a fine abrasive pad. Our solid surface care kit includes what you need.

Can I put hot pans on it? Always use a trivet. Solid surface resists everyday heat, but a pan straight from the hob can mark it.

Do I need a professional fitter? Yes, we recommend one. Joints are bonded with adhesive and finished by hand. Contact us if you need help.

Carrara Marble Solid Surface is an acrylic solid surface worktop, the same type of material as Minerva, Corian® and Apollo solid surface. It is non-porous, so it won’t harbour stains or bacteria, and light marks can be sanded out. Joints can be bonded almost invisibly by a fabricator.
